Discover the top 5 most beautiful bike rides in Landes
On a camping vacation in the Landes region, you may want to take advantage of the shade of the pine trees and the lack of relief to enjoy some lovely bike rides, whether with family or friends. Here are our most beautiful bike rides in the Landes…
The Vélodyssée
La Vélodyssée is a safe route of over 1,200 km that runs along the Atlantic Ocean from Brittany to the Basque Country. It crosses the entire Landes département over some 167 km, from Biscarosse to Tarnos, via Mimizan, Moliets-en-Maâ and Capbreton. There’s nothing to stop you doing just part of it, from the Au lac de Biscarosse campsite to Mimizan, for example. The course, which is very pleasant, takes place in the middle of the forest, an advantage on hot summer days.
The Vignac trail
This short 10 km trail was created in 2007 to link Levignacq to Lit-et-Mixe, south of Mimizan, in the shade of the pine trees of the Landes forest. The Vignac trail is ideal for a family bike ride. The smooth surface is suitable for all types of bikes and makes the track easy to ride.
